Celebrity 2025 - Episode 3 recap
The third leg of the race took the teams from El Zonte, El Salvador, to the mountainous Valle de Angeles in Honduras with all teams having some potential to win - although the un-confident Dylan only seemed to think he and Jackie could ‘nip up to third’ to his mum's chagrin!
Oh, here's a bus.
It might not be the right one.
It might not be the right one. - Dylan & Jackie (Although it could have been any of the teams this week!)
With Anita & Bal’s lead slashed from 23 hours to just 3.5 hours, the pressure was on for the two time front-runners to rebuild their lead, but they were more keen to look at the volcanoes on the way, wanting to see more sights then the roadblocks let them in the last leg. They enjoyed a sunrise camping trip atop the Conchagua volcano, with Bal doing press-ups at the summit, but the relaxation cost them; they missed a bus due to "dilly-dallying" and felt they’d taken their eye off the ball.
Roman & Harleymoon (well mostly Roman) once again struggled with decision paralysis. Roman, dubbing himself "not a very good choice maker," panicked in San Miguel and pulled them off a bus just to reassess the route. Harleymoon tried to manage the stress by forcing some shouting on the beach to shake off the anxiety. I’m not sure if Roman felt happy, but it was a joy to watch her trying to help out Roman. They then gambled on a coastal route via La Union and Tiger Island, hoping to catch a boat to the mainland, but again got stuck unsure if they should wait for the offer of a lift or not…
Oh, my God, this is brilliant, changing the money in here, just in someone's living room. - Harleymoon
Equally struggling, but through less of their own actions were Molly & Tyler who started with days of disaster. At first Molly was ill, then Tyler was suffering badly from food poisoning, causing the team to stop and start and even take refuge in an ‘hourly hotel’
Once recovered, they visited the stunning volcanic caldera of Lake Ilopango, where they scrubbed boats to earn some cash and regain their confidence. Like the siblings, they also abandoned a bus mid route - first because they were going the wrong way, then later where Tyler had to get out and push! At least he was feeling better by then!
Dylan & Jackie took the scenic inland route through Suchitoto. They seemed to be bonding over cinnamon sticks and pupusas, with Jackie reminiscing about how she "adored him straight away" as a mischievous child, but they seemed to be followed less then the other teams this week - until they bumped into the others on (yet another) bus!
Yes, they have caught us up. Definitely. - Anita (confirming to Bal that the teams had indeed caught up when they bumped into each other)
This all led into quite the chaotic showdown. Molly & Tyler, Dylan & Jackie, and Anita & Bal all converged on the same bus a few hundred kilometers from the checkpoint, with only a momentary separation when Anita & Bal detoured to a hotel that didn’t exist, before returning to the group.
The teams all rose early trying to get the lead on each other, but entered the Valley of Angels neck, neck and neck, with some classic scenes of the teams racing past each other in different directions trying to work out where to go.
Despite their many setbacks this week Molly & Tyler reached the book first, but Anita & Bal and Dylan & Jackie were hot on their heels with less than 10 mins in it. Dylan & Jackie were so happy not to be last you'd wonder what they'd do if they come first next week!
Roman & Harleymoon however were nowhere to be seen, last shown discussing how happy they would be to become first… while not even making the checkpoint before the episode ended.
