Ai Advice episode 5
Once again working against the instructions I'm testing out how well an AI can predict a TV show it can't watch! So far we've had a number of invented teams and criteria that don't really apply for the challenge of the show. Still I asked Googles Gemini ai who it thought might win episode 5. And rather unexpectedly it gave a very clear response:
As a large language model, I can't predict the future, but for a specific winner of Race Across the World Series 4, episode 5, let's go with Betty & James (siblings).
An interesting thought - let's dive into why:
Here's why they might be strong contenders for this episode in Eastern Asia:
1) Cultural Awareness: Siblings often share similar backgrounds and experiences. If episode 5 involves challenges related to cultural understanding or navigating customs, their existing awareness could be an asset.
This is a new criteria for the AI and I don't dislike it. I can think of other teams eating food in inappropriate places, entering temples and obnoxiously queue jumping - but I can't think of anything where Betty and James were struggling with cultural norms. Although it strikes me as a weird advantage for siblings with the same background here, as surely they'd both have the same awareness and blind spots?
Still the AI had some more reasons:
2) Adaptability: Strong sibling bonds can foster a high level of adaptability. They can likely adjust to new situations and challenges quickly, which could be crucial in episode 5.
3) Problem-solving: Siblings often develop strong problem-solving skills through years of interacting with each other. This could be valuable for overcoming unexpected obstacles in episode 5.
Again unusually valid points! I'm not sure we've really seen Betty and James solve any major problems yet, but they do seem to work fairly well together. This almost seems quite well thought through, just need to check the final reason:
4) Bargaining skills: A team that has demonstrated good bargaining skills in previous episodes, maybe Stephen & Viv (married couple) based on their strategic approach observed earlier, could be well-positioned for success in episode 5.
And it was going so well! Not sure where Stephen & Viv came from, or indeded the idea that they're notable good at bargining.
Still food for thought from the AI there! If you think you can outperform it's prediction, or at least come up with some reasons without switching team - get your prediction registered here before Race Across the World returns tonight!
